Matthew has over 15 years of institutional asset management and real estate development experience with a focus on executive management and financial strategy. During the 2007-08 financial crisis, he founded numerous debt and real estate investment firms, which in partnership with the FDIC purchased and managed national portfolios of thousands of residential and commercial real estate assets with a total collateralized value of over $2 billion. Additionally, Matthew’s expertise in risk analysis, risk mitigation, and system engineering leads Cedarwood Development's team in business growth and exit strategy for each project. His detailed approach to due diligence, research, purchasing, disposition, guides his approach to making the best strategy-based decisions for the company. Matt holds multiple international patents for a unique data gathering, decision making, and risk analysis software & hardware systems.

Clifton has 15 years experience as an entrepreneurial investor and private equity fund manager, and has held executive positions in finance, asset acquisition, due diligence, decision analysis, mortgage banking and capital markets. Beginning in 2007 he started focusing on opportunistic acquisitions of distressed debt portfolios from banks, institutions and notably a structured transaction with the FDIC in 2010. He acquired thousands of assets, creating a portfolio from 17 banking institutions and numerous funds across 48 states with a value over $2 billion. Clifton has led the management of numerous portfolios of loans and properties, giving him expertise in a wide variety of asset types including raw land, entitlement, ground up construction, repositioning, hospitality, and multifamily. Clifton leads the team in financial analysis, cash flow modeling, decision analysis, strategy and finding new opportunities for Cedarwood Development's overall portfolio.

With a diverse background spanning military, medical, marketing and real estate sectors, Robert serves as project manager for Cedarwood Development while overseeing marketing and design efforts for the team. Robert’s prior achievements demonstrate his knack for developing innovative strategies and building operational efficiency. At U&I Consulting, he raised over $50M in capital for real estate and hospitality ventures. His founding of Judder Digital and Station Co-Lab Learning Institute showcases his marketing and startup expertise along with his entrepreneurial mindset. His roles at Butler & Hosch, P.A., and Cal Western Reconveyance underscored his capability in asset management, team building, and compliance, wherein he managed over 2000 loans, improved accuracy rates from below 50% to over 95%, developed a team culture which slashed turn-over rates to less than 10% (from over 80%), and created quality control systems which eliminated over $400k in lost revenue.
